Dr. BURKE did my surgery may 1st 2025. It went well. I'm walking better. I'm not using a walker or a can anymore. My legs still aren't quite back to normal. And, my hands are still still somewhat numb. But, I'll get there. He is a good surgeon. And, has a good bedside manner.

Going to see doctor packer was the best decision that I have ever made regarding my health. Dr. Zucker took the time to courteously explain the construct of my spine so the I learned enough about my situation to manage it. He identified the concept of the rotation of my spine in one place which demystified the swelling occurring in that area, He also encouraged me to continue exercising which would permit me to walk without a walker.

OCT. 3, 2025. I HAD A FOLLOW UP WIT DR. BURKE. I FORGOT THE PAPERWORK FOR MY XRAY. SO HAVE TO GO BACK TO RAYUS. WHICH I WILL DO NEXT WEEK. MY ISSUE WAS, I CAN GAIN ANY WEIGHT. HE SAID IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY SURGERY. MY GASTRO DR. SAID , HE THOUGHT IT MIGHT. I'M NOT SURE WHAT I SHOULD DO. I'M EATING MORE SMALL MEALS. MORE PROTEIN. MY HANDS ARE STILL NUMB. This was my second appointment with Dr. Packer regarding a possible operation on my spine. After 5 years of treatments by numerous orthopedists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, pain management anesthesiologists and specialists, I finally decided to seek out a spinal neurosurgeon. Dr. Packer came highly recommended to me by not only a friend, but numerous 5 star patient ratings. After extensive review of my MRIs and X-rays Dr.packer proposed various ways of surgery to correct my stenosis which has caused me pain for all these years. He answered all my questions and alleviated alI of my concerns regarding the surgery and post-op care. I have decided to have the surgery in a month from now. Dr. Packer is a skilled, professional, and talented doctor and an incredibly kind human being. He performed T-LIF surgery on me just 2 1/2 weeks ago and now I can walk and drive without pain. Previously I was in agony almost all of the time. He has given me quality of life again. My greatest concern was pain management during recovery as I am unable to take strong painkillers. I have managed just fine with only Extra-Strength Tylenol. The consultation was very thorough and honest.. Brianna was very informative and had a very genuine and outgoing persona. She was able to give us a lot of the preliminary information that was useful so that by the time Dr. Zucker came in our questions for him were more relevant. His man or two was very professional, and I left feeling that he has My best interest at heart.

I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Evan Packer. I came into Dr. Packer's office with excruciating lumbar back pain that had been going on for over six weeks. Dr. Packer came highly recommended and when I called I was told that he was totally booked and was going out of town in a few days. I literally begged to be seen and despite the fact that he was so busy he agreed to see me. The office staff displayed a high level of professionalism and genuine help. This is a doctor who knows compassion. He told me I needed surgery and ordered preop tests and examinations which shortly followed. He took time and explained everything. I felt calm and in excellent hands. The next day he did my surgery and provided personalized treatment and care that yielded positive results. I am so grateful for everything he did for me. He gave me another turn at life. I'll be 80 in a few weeks.

I was diagnosed with a "brain tumor" in the er of Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Dr. Packer is the most astute MD I ever encountered. He kept me calm, and I was scheduled for surgery a few days later. Everything went well. He is easy to talk to and his office is responsive to your needs.

I would suggest, if getting a procedure done, avoiding Delray Med Cntr at all costs and going to PB Gardens Med. While Dr. Burke and his staff, the admitting nurses and professionals are fantastic, the “regular” nursing staff at DMC, aside from a couple exceptions, are absolutely horrible. I received the worst medical care I’ve ever experienced. Ever.

I was fit in , as my set appointment was on 5/23, but I called and asked to be seen sooner, due to extreme pain and inability to use my right leg to walk even with my cane. My first encounter was with Brianna, Dr Zucker’s PA. She looked over my MRI disk, and thoroughly discussed my injury and concerns. I felt totally safe as she was both very professional, and understanding of my pain. When dr Zucker came in, we discussed the doctors I had seen, their diagnoses and their credentials. I shared that I wanted a neurosurgeon to complete my care; I was very reassured that Dr. Z’s care will help me. He spent over 45 minutes evaluating my condition, which includes some complications from stenosis near my fractures. He assures me we will take care of both and I will be able to walk. These two medical professionals were the kindest, most complete evaluators I’ve had the good fortune to have in many years. Because they fit me in, I was there beyond 5:00. The entire office staff stayed, and when I apologized for causing them to work late, they all assured me it was ok. They couldn’t have been kinder to a new patient. I fully endorse this practice, Dr. Zucker, Brianna, Kayla and George, and am confident that I have the right practice, and will have great care.

Doctor Burke and the schedule coordinator Hsiu Huang was so exceptional I wish I could do more than just a review. I expressed some concerns and suddenly Doctor Burke called me just like that. Hsiu has been with me all the way from my first visit until now- 2 weeks after the surgery. She made this so painless I didn’t have to lift a finger and she still checks in on me. I feel very passionately about them as I just moved here and I didn’t feel alone.

I usually don’t write reviews so early without fully experiencing a product or service, but this feels different because I now have hope of a more functional and active life. More importantly , we have to Credit excellence. Dr. Packer is proficient and a leader in his field. He is also caring and has a sense of humor. The very first time I met him, I was impressed because he gave me hope. After reading about him online and watching his interview, and finding out that he worked at Moffit Cancer Center, I was even more impressed. And his family’s community involvement evokes trust. I’ve been in pain for over four years with the ability to do very little like making my bed, sleeping, using the toilet, etc. or inability to enjoy simple pleasures such as gardening, exercising, having lunch with a friend, going to a movie/concert, etc. I’ve seen many doctors who wouldn’t or couldn’t help me (one of the doctors said he was afraid he would make me worse. I now appreciate his honesty). Because of these previous experiences, it is evident to me that Dr. Packer did more than his best. The very first day of the spinal fusion, I was up and about using the bathroom independently. The very next day, I made four lapses around the nurse’s station. Two days after the surgery, I’m now in the kitchen preparing my full liquid soup without assistance :) These simples examples are to illustrate how drastically the spinal fusing surgery is already improving my life. I’m more excited about doing things now. Physical pain deters and discourages. I’m welcome a less pain-free existence. Two days after surgery: -The nagging pain in my behind is almost completely gone. -The pain that drove me madly to the hospital has lessened significantly. -To be honest, I still have intermittent pain and numbness, but I believe that I must now do my part: moving, standing, walking, and doing. It took time for the pain to magnify, so it will take le time to decrease- but I am seeing change and having a new outlook on life. I’m looking forward to physical therapy to help final stage of my recovery and begin living again. I have a strange feeling that I will experience full recovery. I would without hesitation recommend Dr. Packer to my family members and everyone suffering from spinal injuries because I not only trust his abilities and experiences, I’ve also experienced it just as I have shared in this review. There’s so much more to say. I’ll make myself available to anyone who want to talk to me about this experience. Dr. Packer, thank you very much. Dr. Packer office staff is amazing. Every person in that office is very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable in what they do. Dr packer in my opinion is a great doctor. He is not an alarmist and is always answering questions, does not try to push you out the door and has always been straight up with me and what is wrong and what is not. He is very explanatory and easy for someone to understand that may not be in the medical field. I would recommend Dr Packer to any that needs a neurosurgeon.

I was referred to Doctor Packer through my attorney’s office and I was in very rough shape due to a car accident. I was slammed into while sitting at a red light. Concussion, several herniations in the cervical and thoracic areas of my spine. I was experiencing pain and numbness down my left arm and could barely use it. As you can imagine this affected my ability to work and provide for my family drastically. Dr. Packer recommended a series of injections and various treatments and did everything he possibly could to try and prevent a surgery given that I am only 31 years old. Unfortunately I ended up having to have cervical disc replacement surgery and I have to say since the surgery I have done a complete 180. The entire time i have treated with Dr. Packer I have received nothing but the best care. They listened to what my complaints were and accurately identified and treated the problems with little to no issue. I was extremely nervous about having the surgery Dr. Packer and the staff made the entire experience painless. Now I hope I never have to do anything like this ever again but should I need to I know where I need to go to get the best care. Thank you Dr. Packer and the entire team at Brain and Spine Center of South Florida in Delray Beach. It’s because of you that I now have my life back.

The front staff are polite and timely in addressing the patient to the practice. The nursing staff and PA group are kind, and not rushed in explaining the patient's issues / concerns. Dr. Zucker takes his time in conveying his explanations of the patient's concerns and the direction the patient (me) should take. This Zucker support team in general is superior to the type of care I receive from most of the other MDs I visit.
